Demi's now ex-boyfriend had broken up with her 8 months ago, but she was still heartbroken. Her best friend Miley tried to convince her to go out to bars and clubs with her, but that wasn't her scene...at least not anymore. Her ex, Trace, had introduced her to a new world of partying, drugs, and alcohol. Now that they had split, Demi just wanted to be alone and away from anything that reminded her of Trace. Finally, Miley got Demi to go on a blind date with one of her old high school friends, Nick. Demi was apprehensive, but didn't want to seem unappreciative, so she reluctantly accepted the offer.
 
She sat outside the cute little restaurant with her phone in her hand, waiting for her date to arrive.
